Remote Relationships
Distance is no longer a significant barrier to developing a financial planning relationship. As long as you have an internet connection, we can work together.
Being in the home of Caterpillar, with many employees being transferred to other domestic and international assignments, we have clients located throughout the U.S. and internationally. We have quite a bit of experience of working with remote clients.
JIC uses technology to change the way we gather, discuss, and present reports. Here are some of the tools used to execute a remote relationship:
- Skype or join.me for video conferencing or desktop sharing.
- A client portal for secure sharing and storage of client documents. Both JIC and clients can upload / download documents.
- Software to sign documents electronically.
Interestingly, we have found a remote relationship is not just for clients that are hundreds of miles away. Many clients, who are close enough to drive or simply do want to take the time for an in-person meeting, prefer the convenience and flexibility that a remote relationship / meeting provides.
The availability of a remote relationship / meeting is another tool to make your life easier so you can focus on whats important to you.
